UEI approached See3 to define and develop features for content search, filtering, and curation to enable site visitors to find relevant content from across several Institute sites.

The search was done using Apache Solr search that was configured and customized to build search indexes and bring weighted results from four different Drupal 7 UEI sites. We also built Topic pages to integrate topic-based search results coming from the Apache Solr database.

To unify the user experience across the sites, our team created what is called a shared header and footer style on the primary UEI website, and made changes in the UX of the four sites to streamline the search, search results and topic pages on all four sites.
